OUR HISTORY
In April 1998, Team Bonfire as established in the memory of Harold "The Brooklyn Bonfire" Parrott and his wife Josephine, the first team members and "do your best catalysts. Harold spend 15 years with the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper as the lead sports columnist, followed by working with the Brooklyn Dodgers as their traveling secretary.
Harold and Josephine's eldest son, Tod Parrott, instituted the organization in an attempt to honor his parents who saved as models of determination and excellence for him and his three brothers. Tod's third daughter, Kristen Mulvoy as responsible for establishing the Bonfire Foundation as a 501(c)3 foundation.
The Bonfire Foundation is a "hands on" giving solution that provides financial and motivational support to deserving candidates in the form of scholarships, grands and donations for non-profit programs. The Foundation aims to identify and encourage individuals who show a strong sense of determination, ambition and good judgement. The Foundation will help them realize their full potential and raise the quality of their lives,, as well as the lives around them. The Foundation considers and values those focusing on journalistic, media and/or athletic pursuits.
